Check in with the audience time, this time, birthday edition. Yes, as of December 20th I have officially turned 28. Usually, I’m inexplicably depressed each year around this time but this year doesn’t feel that bad in comparison. No one has to, obviously, but if anyone wants to send birthday cheer my way then Patreon or a small donation would go a long way.

Things have been slower with my short story than I’d have liked but that’s just down to me misjudging winter’s effect on my mood. It’s currently sitting at around 15k words. It should still be done within two weeks if I had to give a guess, probably less but I don’t want to give an estimate if I can’t back it up.

I don’t have all that much to say this time around update-wise beyond that, just that I’m working on lots of stuff, including art for characters.

I’m still planning on returning to the main story sometime next month if all goes to plan.

I haven’t been rushing myself on that note because I sort of hit a realization that in just under one year I wrote like 700,000 words for Rise of the Guild Master. That’s like, six entire fucking books worth and it’s not even counting bonus chapters, outlines, lore, and behind-the-scenes planning. Therefore, if winter is making me feel like ass, then I shouldn’t feel under pressure to constantly work on big things that demand my full attention.

But I don’t want to rest on my laurels for much longer.
